Nookie

Gavin Cheung, known professionally as Nookie, is a prominent UK drum & bass DJ and producer originally from London and Hertfordshire. Active since the 1990s, he has also released music under several aliases including Cloud Nine, Second Vision, New Balance, and Binary State. Nookie’s work spans genres such as drum & bass, jungle, and techno, and he has been involved with a range of influential labels like Moving Shadow, Reinforced, Penny Black, Labello Blanco, Goodlooking Records, Dread Recordings, as well as founding his own label Daddy Armshouse. Notably, in 1997, he collaborated on an album with house music pioneer Larry Heard, and in 2004, he launched one of drum & bass's earliest digital-only labels. His recent releases include singles featuring artists Kali Mist and Mikee Freedom, reflecting his ongoing contribution to the electronic music scene.
