Blawan

Jamie Roberts, known professionally as Blawan, is a British techno producer and DJ born in Doncaster, UK. He began his musical journey as a drummer, which strongly influences his rhythmic and percussive production style. Blawan first gained prominence with his debut release “Fram” on Hessle Audio and later signed to R&S Records, garnering critical acclaim with tracks like "Getting Me Down," named the best single of 2011 by Resident Advisor.

In 2015, Roberts established his own label, Ternesc, through which he has released much of his recent work, including his debut album "Wet Will Always Dry" in 2018. His sound is recognized for its cold, modular-synthesis-driven techno aesthetic. Originally from the UK, he later relocated to Berlin, Germany, which has influenced his studio production and live performances. Blawan has also collaborated under different aliases and projects, expanding his experimental reach within techno.
