Alan Braxe

Alan Braxe, the stage name of Alain Quême, is a French electronic music producer and DJ closely associated with the French house movement. Born and based in Paris, he first gained recognition with his 1997 debut single "Vertigo" on Thomas Bangalter's influential Roulé label. Braxe is best known for collaborating with Bangalter and Benjamin Diamond in the project Stardust, creating the seminal house track "Music Sounds Better with You," which achieved widespread success and became a classic of the genre.

In 1999, Braxe founded the record label Vulture Music, through which he released many house and club singles, often working with fellow producer Fred Falke. His production and remix work spans numerous artists including Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, and Jamiroquai. Over the years, Braxe has evolved his sound, moving towards a stripped-back, analogue electronic style demonstrated in releases such as The Ascent EP (2019) and his collaborative Step by Step EP (2022) with DJ Falcon. His music remains influential in shaping the French house and electro landscape.
