About

Patricia Daniels, known professionally as Adeva, is a singer from Paterson, New Jersey, United States who rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She began her career singing professionally in the mid-1980s, releasing her debut single "In and Out of My Life" in 1988. Adeva later signed with the UK label Cooltempo, a subsidiary of EMI, and scored several hits in the UK Singles Chart including "Respect," "Warning!" and "I Thank You," all reaching No. 17. Her debut album, released in 1989 and titled "Adeva!", achieved platinum status in the United Kingdom. Over the years, she has released three albums: Adeva! (1989), Love or Lust (1991), and New Direction (1997). She is noted for her blend of house music with R&B and gospel-influenced vocals, and her collaborations in the mid-1990s with legendary house producer Frankie Knuckles on tracks such as "Walkin’" and "Whadda U Want (From Me)" further cemented her place in club music history.
