Mat Carter is a UK-based DJ and producer who has established a distinct presence in the electronic music scene. He is known for his regular appearances at prominent venues and events including Fabric, Haywire Sessions, Dedbeat, and Tribal Gathering. Alongside his active gigging schedule, Carter runs Varial Records, a platform he uses to release forward-thinking electronic music.
His signature sound is characterized by multi-layered, hypnotic grooves that seamlessly blend techno, electro, downtempo, and dub-infused house. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of cultural influences—from technology and films to his personally curated studio space—Carter continues to develop a diverse sonic palette utilizing hardware-based production in both his studio work and live presentations.
