About

Amanda and Catherine began their musical journeys over 30 years ago, each playing with DJ crews and developing deep roots in underground music culture. A chance meeting and natter later sowed the seeds for Girls Record Lounge (GRL), which was formed in 2019.

Now based in Windsor, Amanda & Catherine operate at the intersection of underground dance music, film and community. Their DJ sets move fluidly through funky house, soulful grooves, rare cuts and left-field selections, guided by feeling, depth and dancefloor intuition rather than trends. As members of the Balearic Burger DJ roster, they’ve built a reputation for eclectic surprises and emotionally driven selections.

Alongside the decks, they are active radio hosts, formerly on Release Radio and now part of 4TLOH, where their shows reflect the same open-minded, soulful approach found in their DJ sets — blending deep musical knowledge with storytelling and thoughtful curation.

Beyond broadcast and club spaces, they curate independent film and music events and host the Soul Stew Sunday Social, creating environments where sound, culture and the freedom to dance collide. Through this work, they have brought influential figures including Charlie Ahearn, Craig Williams, Dr Packer, Don Letts and Brinsley Ford to Windsor, quietly helping establish the town as a destination for forward-thinking music culture.
